Together with ZenFone and PadFone mini smartphones, Asus introduced PixelMaster technology, which includes a set of features such as self-portrait mode and depth of field control. Two additional PixelMaster features are available on the ZenFone 5, ZenFone 6, and PadFone mini: low light mode and rewind.
Low light mode significantly increases the camera’s capabilities in low light conditions. Electronic stabilizer further improves the quality of images obtained with a lack of lighting, improving clarity and reducing image blurring. Low-light mode also works when shooting video.
The “rewind” function simplifies the process of shooting dynamic scenes. When the camera mode is on, it automatically saves several frames before and after pressing the shutter button, increasing the chances of catching the best moment. After that, the user can “rewind time” using the user-friendly interface and choose the best shot or save all the taken frames.
The self-portrait mode allows you to use a high – resolution rear camera instead of a front camera whose resolution is lower for self – portraits and group shots. The camera automatically detects when a given number of people has entered the frame and makes three frames after the countdown. The user can choose the best one to save and publish to social networks.
