Unfortunately, Android doesn’t allow to save contacts without being tied to a certain account, so users just have to link their contacts to Gmail. Because of this, they risk transferring data “to the side” against their will, for example, if an operating system update automatically re-activates disabled synchronization.
MyLocalAccount app from the developers of MyPhoneExplorer eliminates this disadvantage, creating a local telephone account. Install the app from the Play Store, go to “Settings | Accounts | Add new account” (1A) and select “MyLocalAccount” (1B). Now click on “MyLocalAccount” in the list of accounts and check the box next to “Contacts” to link them to the account.
